Your Starlink questions, answered clearly

We've grouped the questions we get asked most into five simple sections. Every answer is straight and honest — and where price is concerned, we always quote the live figure on WhatsApp rather than post one that goes out of date.

01 · Availability & Coverage

Where Starlink works

Is Starlink available in Nigeria, Abuja and Lagos?
Yes. Starlink is fully live in Nigeria, including Abuja, Lagos and most other parts of the country. We supply the genuine hardware, install it and configure everything so you are online quickly, in most areas the same day.
Do you install outside Abuja and Lagos?
Yes. We are based in Abuja and cover the FCT and Lagos directly, and we arrange installation in other states too. Tell us your town or city on WhatsApp and we will confirm coverage and how we can get you set up.
Can I move my Starlink or use it at another location?
Yes. Starlink is portable. A fixed home plan is registered to one address, while Roam/Mobile plans are designed to move with you between locations. You can also update your registered address in the Starlink app. Ask us and we will recommend the plan that fits how you intend to use it.
02 · Buying & Price

Getting Starlink and what it costs

How do I buy Starlink and how soon can I get connected?
Message us on WhatsApp with your location and whether it is for home or business. We confirm the current price and availability, supply the genuine kit and schedule installation. In most areas you can be online the same day or within a couple of days.
How much does Starlink cost?
Your cost has three parts — a one-time hardware kit, a monthly subscription set by Starlink, and a one-time installation fee. Starlink reviews its prices periodically and exchange rates affect the naira figure, so we quote today's exact price on request. Message us on WhatsApp and we will send the current figures. See our Starlink price guide for the full breakdown.
What's in the box and what kit do I need?
A Starlink kit includes the dish (antenna), the Wi-Fi router, a base or mount and the cabling needed to get started. There is more than one kit — the Standard kit for fixed use and the compact, portable Mini kit. Tell us how you will use it and we will recommend the right one.
03 · Installation & Setup

Getting set up and powered

How long does installation take and what's included?
A standard home installation takes about 1–2 hours once there is a clear view of the sky. Our technicians handle mounting the dish, running neat cabling, aligning it for the strongest signal, setting up your Wi-Fi and testing your real speed before we hand over.
How much power does Starlink use, and can it run on solar or an inverter?
Starlink is fairly power-efficient — the standard kit typically draws around 50–75 watts in normal use, a little more at peak. That means it runs comfortably on a modest inverter or solar setup, which is ideal for areas with unreliable grid power. We are happy to advise on sizing.
04 · Speed & Usage

Performance, weather and data

How fast is Starlink — is it good for streaming, gaming and video calls?
Yes. Real-world download speeds commonly range from about 25 to over 200 Mbps with low latency, which is excellent for HD and 4K streaming, video calls on Zoom or Teams, cloud work and online gaming. Actual speed varies with your plan, location and network demand at the time.
Does Starlink work in rain or harsh weather?
Yes. Starlink is built for the outdoors and keeps working through rain and normal weather. Very heavy storms or thick cloud can briefly reduce speed, but service quickly recovers. A clear, unobstructed view of the sky — away from trees and tall buildings — matters far more than the weather for a stable connection.
Is there a data cap?
Standard residential use is generally unlimited. Some priority and business plans include a set amount of high-priority data, after which speeds may be deprioritised at peak times but you stay connected. Plan terms change from time to time, so we will explain the current data terms for the plan you choose.
05 · Support & Business

Business plans and after-sales care

Do you offer business plans and a static IP?
Yes. Priority/Business plans are built for offices, hotels, sites and other demanding users, with prioritised data and features suited to business needs, including static IP options. Tell us your requirements on WhatsApp and we will recommend the right business setup and quote the current price.
Do you provide support and warranty after installation?
Yes. We are a local team, so after we hand over we are still a phone call or WhatsApp message away for subscription help, relocation, troubleshooting or advice. The hardware carries the manufacturer's warranty, and we support you through any issue that comes up.
